Education:
Dr. Liggins is a board certified gynecologist who specializes in complex gynecological surgery employing various modalities including minimally invasive and robotic approaches. She manages gynecological conditions including pelvic pain, abnormal uterine bleeding, vaginal and vulvar pathology and hormone disturbances. She has developed a personal interest and emphasis in caring for women at high risk for gynecological malignancy. She has a close collaboration with oncology, breast and genetic specialists. Her focus is in integrating cancer genetics and gynecologic care including risk assessment, medical and surgical prevention and screening. She additionally provides surveillance for gynecologic and breast cancer survivors as well as routine gynecologic care.
She earned her undergraduate, graduate and medical degrees at the University of Colorado and went on to complete OB/GYN residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix graduating in 2016. She was then recruited to Arizona Oncology where she performed advanced gynecological procedures and managed high risk patients.
Her goal and greatest reward is in making patients feel heard and supported. “I strive to connect with my patients where they are and provide them with the level of care they need. I devote the time needed to ensure all my patients understand their diagnoses and are integral in their own management decisions. I work in collaboration with my patients to provide a personalized care plan that is unique to them, their families and situation.”
Dr. Liggins is originally from Colorado and lives in Arizona with her husband and 2 children. She enjoys being outdoors, cooking and spending time with extended family in the area.
