Meet Our Team

Dr. Zechman is a Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgeon at Arizona Gynecology Consultants. She has been in private practice for over 20 years serving patients in Richmond, Virginia and now in Phoenix, Arizona with Arizona Gynecology Consultants. She studied Biology at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, attended Medical School at Penn State College of Medicine, completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at George Washington University, trained in Robotic Laparoscopy, and completed a two-year private fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and has passed the ABOG Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Sub-Specialty Exam. She holds memberships in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), and the Society of Robotic Surgeons (SRS).

Dr. Zechman assesses each patient and works with them to determine the best surgical approach to achieve their goals. Specific surgical approaches include open, laparoscopic, robotic laparoscopic, vaginal, and incisionless (VNOTES – Vaginal Natural Orifice Surgery) surgeries. In addition, Dr. Zechman performs Hysteroscopy, Sonata, Acessa and permanent sterilization procedures. These surgeries can treat abnormal or painful menstruation, pelvic pain, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, and other gynecologic conditions.

She was the first gynecologic surgeon in Arizona to perform a VNOTES Hysterectomy (Vaginal Natural Orifice Surgery) and now trains other Surgeons on the technology and procedure. She holds faculty appointments and teaches residents at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and the Creighton University College of Medicine.

In her free time, Dr. Zechman enjoys whitewater rafting, camping, hot yoga, aikido, classic cars (she owns a 1965 Ford Mustang) and listening to classic rock music.

Dr. Zechman is fluent in medical Spanish.
